These terms cover your use of Shutter at shutter.ruytha.dev, run by Ruytha Studios.

Your work stays yours

You keep every right to the footage you review and the notes you write. We claim no rights to anything you make with Shutter. If you upload a clip on a paid plan, you allow us to store it and convert it for playback, only so you and the friends you send it to can watch it.

Paid plans

Pro and Studio are billed in advance through Clerk and Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe, and renew until you cancel. Cancel any time in Settings; you keep the plan until the end of the period you've paid for. Only upload clips you have the right to share.

Each plan includes a set amount of cloud storage, counted in minutes of video. When it's full, delete clips or move up a plan to upload more. If we ever change a plan's price or allowance, we'll tell you before it affects your next payment.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under it.

Friends and messages

Only send reviews and messages you have the right to share. Don't use Friends to harass anyone or to send material that isn't yours to send. We may remove accounts that do.

Your notes live in your browser

Notes are stored on your device, not on our servers, so we can't recover them if your browser data is cleared or the device is lost. Use Download backup in Settings to keep a copy.

Fair use

Don't use Shutter to break the law, to attack the service, or to get around how it's meant to work.

No warranty

Shutter is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or always available, and we aren't liable for losses from using it, to the extent the law allows.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Using Shutter after that means you accept the new version.
